Ryan Fitzpatrick came on in the second half and led a nine-play, 74-yard jaunt that resulted in a 20-yard TD strike to rookie wideout David Nelson and a 28-17 Bills lead. He ended 6-of-9 for 77 yards in making his case to challenge Edwards' expected role.
Carson Palmer played two quarters and was efficient in completing 9-of-11 passes while connecting with Chad Ochocinco on a six-yard touchdown and rookie tight end Jermaine Gresham for a nine-yard score.
Terrell Owens, who experienced a lackluster one-year stay with Buffalo in 2009, caught three passes for 35 yards in making his return. Cedric Benson rushed for 50 yards on eight carries, while Gresham totaled 45 yards on four receptions.
Bengals third-string QB Jordan Palmer was picked off in the fourth quarter by Reggie Corner, who returned it 20 yards for a touchdown to essentially seal the outcome as the Bengals dropped to 2-2 in preseason play.

Reportedly, he is in great shape and well ahead of schedule to return to form. Also, he could have some added motivation to put up big numbers this season with the Eagles using their first pick in the draft on McNabb’s future successor Kevin Kolb.
